Lauren Herman’s idea

I am thinking about doing a story on the stress students have applying to grad schools and the problems they face. I am going to follow two student’s as one applies to chiropractic school and the other to grad school for teaching speech. I am going to follow them as they talk to advisors and professors as well. I plan on photographing the process as they work to do their applications and take care of other related business while showing the stress it has on students as they struggle to complete their end-of-the-semester work.

Lauren Herman’s Storyboard

This is the story board of the slideshow I am planning of doing on landmarks in Israel. I am going to record the Vice President of Israel at Temple’s Hillel organization explain the importance of the photos that I took while I was there earlier this year. I also plan on incorporating Israeli music in the background as well.

I’m Lauren, a senior journalism major with a magazine concentration. I have interned at a few local magazines and hope to continue working in the magazine industry when I graduate. Ideally I would love to stay in my hometown of Philadelphia but I will obviously go where the jobs are… if there are any, that is. I really like regional publications so you most likely will never find me in New York City.

I have always loved writing but I also enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to concerts, museums and traveling. I’m a die-hard Phillies fan, love cupcakes (specifically from Brown Betty in Northern Liberties) and can’t go a day without listening to Billy Joel.
