Anna’s Story Idea

So… I’m a Twilight fan. Hence, the following story idea.

I was thinking… this huge vampire craze started fairly recently. Why do teenage girls (and every other fan out there for that matter) find these vamps so attractive? I mean, they (fictionally) can kill you! What is so fascinating about them… is it their allure, they’re sex appeal, or just the craze of the bandwagon? I’m thinking of interviewing fans at the release of the new movie, but also getting a professional opinion from a Temple Psych professor.  I’d LOVE to know the answer to this. Is there one?

Anna Palij’s Storyboard

This is the story board for the project I was thinking of doing… a revision of my trip to Italy.  My favorite city was Venice, so I wanted to bring together a few great shots.  I am also going to have the president of the Italian club speaking Italian and describing in English in the background, as well as some Italian music, with accordians, etc.

a song of myself….

I’m a senior Journalism major with a focus in magazines, and am also minoring in English.  I have a few goals for after school… whether all or any will come true is a different story.  I’d like to get a job at a magazine, local or not (the ultimate goal is Seventeen Magazine).  But I could definately go for a newspaper job, having interned and written for local newspapers (The Metro, in Philly and The Intelligencer, in Doylestown).  I’ve found a new interest in layout and design, so if that puts me more on the market, more power!  I have a side project that I’ve been working on for the past few years, a to-be novel.  It’s kind of a teeny bopper storyline, but it’s fun to write fiction… you can make the characters do whatever the heck you want them to do! 

I also have a huge interest in beading, making jewelry and things like that.  I have over a hundred pairs of earrings alone… now all I have to do is sell them somewhere

These days, I’m the Arts and Entertainment Editor at the Temple Ambler newspaper, The Temple Column.  I love it there… we’re working on a new layout- it’s going to be fabulous!

Right now, I’m also working part time at a photography studio in the suburbs near my house… it’s really interesting, considering the fact that I have never taken any professional pictures, and now I’m taking them and selling them!
